Im not sure if carnage contest is open source, But if it is i would like to perhaps revamp/remake a "magic" version where players can cast spells and aerial attacks
and change up the controls and design new sprites,
Or perhaps you can join in if you would like to release the open source i would keep you updated on the code/scripts i change, Im sure the "revamp/remake" will become very popular.

You can change the images in the gfx folder as well as adding new weapons with Lua code.

You do not need the source code.

HeX: It is a bad idea to create a new thread just for DC. Lucky for you Conscience told you how to do this without the source-code.

But even if you couldn't, I don't think DC would give it anyway.

no offence but to totally remake/revamp the gui and controls i would need the source code if i had it i would plan on somehow asking or helping DC make a rating highscores where players can gain rating from games,
it will become a diffrent game based off CC but using its source code and would probably be released on here if DC liked what i am trying to do, most 2d destructable terrain games only involve modern day weapons and futuristic weapons, i aim to add spell-books too if i had the source and was granted permission to do all this.

@conscience i already know that..

Carnage Contest can be modded to a very high degree. All original weapons are Lua scripted and you can add your own with ease. Read this:

It's not necessary to touch the source code and it's also not possible because this game is closed source and will stay closed source.

i see................ but in all honesty it could of been better :c perhaps a suggestion to make all that yourself it would be very popular...i have about 40 people who were hoping for a future game like this.

I don't really understand what you are saying. Just adding some magic stuff won't make this game more popular.
There even are magic weapons already. For example: file

Magic Spell Package v1.2 (16)

Search the file archive to find even more cool weapons. The people around here already created tons of additional stuff for the game.

LOL i've played arcanist in fact im ranked 3rd on hiscores
the owners and developers of that game no longer care and update it, That was actually one of the main reasons i wanted to try and create a game like this.

P.S not a remake of arcanist.
